Dermatology

At Biocare Oncology & Therapeutics, we work with dermatologists to treat skin disorders. A dermatologist is a doctor that focuses on conditions that involve the skin, hair, and nails.

They identify and treat different conditions ranging from eczema to skin cancer. We specialize in injectable and infusible medications to provide patients with different treatment options that will work best for them. Common conditions treated with injectable and infusible medications include psoriatic arthritis, atopic dermatitis/eczema, moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, and more. We offer multiple care options for administration giving patients a say in their treatment. The remedy we offer may be used to treat conditions in the home setting or at our Oncology & Therapeutics center.

Conditions We Treat:

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a condition that is not contagious. It develops when the body makes cells too quickly, causing skin cells to pile up and form visible patches or spots on the skin. Plaques can appear anywhere on the skin, but you’re most likely to find them on the: Knees, Elbows, Lower back, Scalp. Plaques tend to vary in size. They may appear on the skin as a single patch or join together to cover a large area of skin. No matter the size, plaques tend to be itchy. Without treatment, the itch can become intense. Some people notice that their skin stings, burns, or feels painful and tight.

Atopic Dermatitis (AD)

Atopic dermatitis (AD), also known as eczema, is a common childhood disease, but adults may develop it as well. It is not contagious. It usually presents in the form of dry and scaly patches on the skin that can be itchy.

Psoriatic Arthritis

Psoriatic Arthritis often develops years after psoriasis. It typically begins with a few swollen joints and is characterized by joint stiffness. This arthritis often begins with a few swollen joints. A single finger or toe may be noticeably swollen. Some people feel stiff when they wake up. As they move around, the stiffness fades.
